PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spool having a circular holder dispensing with a plastic case covering a fishing line and also a line stopper placed on the spool, and capable of stopping the line at an arbitrary position of the spool, which circular holder can be taken out and recycled to another spool. SOLUTION: The spool having a circular holder is constructed as follows: a spool comprises a shaft and the collars 12 placed on both the ends of the shaft, and a fishing line is wound on it; the outer periphery of the wound fishing line is surrounded over 360 degree with a circular plastic in a freely rotatable manner; a sliding guide, and a knob or a protrusion 31 are fixed on one end of the circular plastic; a supplementary knob or a supplementary protrusion 40 is placed on the other end of the circular plastic or near the above-mentioned knob or the protrusion 31; and the circular plastic has a fishing line passing hole 34. The knob and the supplementary knob are held by the right and the left hand, and they are expanded or narrowed to change the diameter of the circular holder. Thus, the rotary friction of the spool can be freely controlled.
