PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing pattern judging device and its method judging the quantity and material of the laundry inserted into a washing tub and changing a washing pattern according to the material. SOLUTION: This washing pattern judging device includes a voltage converting section 20 receiving an AC power supply from the outside, converting it into a necessary drive voltage, and outputting it, a switching section 23 making switching according to a motor drive control signal to transfer the drive voltage of the voltage converting section 20 to a motor rotating or stopping the washing tub, a voltage fluctuation sensing section 21 measuring a voltage fluctuation quantity to output a voltage fluctuation sensing signal when the motor is rotated by the switching section 23, and microcomputer 22 driving a quantity sensing pattern to determine the quantity of the laundry and feed water quantity depending on the quantity of the laundry when the laundry is inserted into the washing tub, grasping the material of the laundry according to the voltage fluctuation sensing signal at a water feed, and outputting a motor drive control signal determining the operation of the motor by the optimum washing pattern. |
