PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game apparatus which not only largely changes the contents of display thereof but also largely changes details of a game per se, to thereby enhance the amusement of the apparatus. SOLUTION: According to the game apparatus, in a ready-for-winning state, first information items Z1 are displayed in variable display areas 31 in place of identification information items, and second information items Z2 are displayed in a character display section 35 in place of a character. Then, a targeting game by the first information items Z1, which shoots at the second information items Z2 as targets, is displayed on a character display section 35.
