<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily selecting a transformed plant by making use of a marker gene. SOLUTION: This method for selecting a transformed plant transduced with a recombinant DNA which contains a gene as the marker gene encoding a protein having the activity to promote the production of an indole compound, is characterized by comprising detecting the presence of the marker gene with, as the indicator, a color development of the indole compound produced in a plant cells or tissue due to the expression of the marker gene, and based on the detection, screening the objective plant cells or tissue transduced with the recombinant DNA.</p> |
