IMPROVED DISTAL PROTECTIVE DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maximize filtration of a tissue piece generated during an operation and protection against formation of an embolus. SOLUTION: The distal protective device to be disposed inside human blood vessel is provided with a filter basket 12 to be disposed in a preferable position in the axial direction in a vessel and a self-expanding radial loop 28 adjacent to/connected to the base end of the filter basket 12. The filter basket 12 has the closed top and the open base end. The loop 28 is fit for keeping the base end of the filter basket 12 in the open state. In catching a tissue piece generated from a lesion blood vessel during the treatment in a human vessel structure, the distal protective device realizes a function of allowing the opening of the filter basket mounted on the catheter distal protective device to have the maximum setting area even in a winding human blood vessel.
