PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the unevenness of electric characteristic, which causes adverse influence to the charging quantity of toner in case of a developing roller, occurs because the unevenness occurs in the thickness of a resin layer to be coated in the case of a molding roller with a surface layer coated with a resin, and the problem that an output picture becomes defective because of these defects when this roller drier is incorporated in an electrophotographic device. SOLUTION: In a method for drying a roller, after coating a resin solution onto the surface of the roller, rollers are successively carried into a drying furnace and are rotated in a peripheral direction while supporting them horizontally within the drying furnace.
