PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of suppressing the partial abrasion occurring near sipes while maintaining improved wet performance by the sipes. SOLUTION: When a vehicle fitted with this pneumatic tire 10 travels on the left side of a road, a tread 12 is invariably applied with the force from the left side of the advancing direction. The resultant force of the force from the left side of the advancing direction to the right direction and the force in the advancing direction generated when the vehicle travels is applied to second ribs 28 in the right upward direction as seen from the outside of the tire. When the resultant force in the right upward direction is applied to the second ribs 28, side grooves 30 with sipes are applied with the force in the right upward direction to close the sipes, the sipes are not opened, and no discontinuous-rigidity portion occurs on the second ribs 28, thus preventing an abrasion difference from occurring between the front and rear of the sipes (in the tire peripheral direction) to cause partial abrasion. |
