PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizing structure that forms a part of a garbage disposer, and inhibiting emittion the decomposed gas so as to prevent malodor from generating from the decomposer even when its cover is opened. SOLUTION: A frame 1 surrounds a treatment tank 3 which is insulated from the external with a cover 2 and contains a base carrying microorganisms and an agitation means 4 having blades that agitate the base contained in the tank 3, and garbage can be introduced into the tank 3 by opening the cover 2. The decomposition gas produced when the garbage is decomposed in the tank 3 is sent to a deodorizing means 5 in a gas discharge passage 8 by means of a blowing means 6 and is discharging from the frame 1. When an opening/ shutting detection means 9 is actuated when the cover 2 is opened, the means 6 blows an increased quantity of air into the passage 8 to form a strong air stream flowing from the air feed passage 7 to the gas discharge passage 8, whereupon the decomposition gas is sucked into the passage 8 so as to prevent it from being upwardly released.
