PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for receiving magnetic resonance signal by which the sensitivity distribution of a plurality of RF coils can be adjusted without changing the physical structures of the coils, and to obtain a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus using the device for receiving magnetic resonance signal. SOLUTION: Magnetic resonance signals from a common object are received by means of the RF coils which do not interfere with each other and the received resonance signals are added to each other (470) by adjusting the phases of the signals (472 and 472').
