PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen storage metal alloy electrode which has sufficient large current discharging characteristics from an early stage of usage, without spoiling reliability over a long period of time. SOLUTION: The hydrogen storage metal alloy electrode consists of a hydrogen storage metal alloy containing one or more kinds of elements chosen from the rare earth elements containing Y, nickel and, Co of 4 mol% or more and 11 mol% or less, and a tin compound.
