PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which can exchange information between a terminal which can deal only general-purpose protocol and a server which adopts other protocol. SOLUTION: In this information mediating system 10, data transmission is enabled between terminals 5, 6 by using general-purpose protocol, and data transmission is enabled between information storing and delivering servers 1, 2 by using exclusive protocol except the general-purpose protocol. The system 10 is provided with a protocol conversion part 12 for performing conversion between the exclusive protocol and the general-purpose protocol, a describing format conversion part 13 which converts information acquired from the information storing and delivering servers into a describing format which can be displayed in the terminals and converts information acquired from the terminals into a describing format which can be dealt in the information storing and delivering servers, and a code conversion part 15 wherein at least a part of the information is subjected to code conversion on the basis of decision result of a code conversion decision part 14.
