PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method and a driving device of an organic electroluminescence element and a display device using it, capable of lengthening the service life at pulse drive time with a low duty ratio. SOLUTION: A pulse voltage impressing circuit 10 impresses pulse voltage, having the duty ratio of 10% or lower on the organic EL element 20. In this case, a driving condition is set so that an average drive current flowing into the organic EL element 20 becomes 3 mA/cm2 or lower (average implantation electric current density) and average drive voltage impressed on the organic EL element 20 becomes 4 V or smaller.
