PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily locate a search object person such as a stray child and a poriomaniac old person in a short time. SOLUTION: In a mobile terminal search system 1 that searches a specific mobile terminal by utilizing mobile terminals each having a position detecting function, when a mobile terminal 12 of a guardian requests a stray child search server 10 to search a stray child, the stray child search server 10 allows a position detection server 11 to locate a position of the mobile terminal 12 as the specified search object terminal, detects mobile terminals 12 located within a prescribed range from the position of the mobile terminal 12 being the search object terminal as surrounding terminals and transmits search information to locate the stray child to the mobile terminals 12 being the surrounding terminals to request them to protect the stray child. Furthermore, the system 1 allows the mobile terminal 12 being the retrieval object terminal to output a specific ringer tone melody so as to facilitate the discovery of the stray child, and when the stray child is found out, the mobile terminal 12 as the surrounding terminal transmits stray child discovery information to the stray child search server 10, and the stray child search server 10 transmits the stray child discovery information to the mobile terminal 12 as the search request terminal.
