PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a working method in which a slender groove for analysis in units of several μm is formed easily by a method wherein an optical material for analysis such as a glass or the like is irradiated with a laser beam. SOLUTION: A light-absorbent blank is bonded to the surface of the optical material for analysis. A beam of light at a definite wavelength is irradiated from the upper part of the blank through a pulsed laser system. The surface of the optical material is melted. Either the optical material for analysis or the pulsed laser system is slid to the horizontal direction. The slender groove into which a solution to be analyzed is poured is formed. |
