PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card information handling system with improved security when performing a card settlement in commerce on a network. SOLUTION: In this card information handling system for an electronic commerce system, a password for card settlement is included in addition to a card number as card information, a means encrypting the password including the date of a date generating means (a calendar clock) is lent by a card company station 2 to be installed in a user terminal 1, the user terminal 1 encrypts the password of the card information by the means and sends it to a virtual store server 3, the virtual store server 3 requests for a credit check on the received card information to the card company station 2, and the card company station 2 deciphers the encrypted password in the card information including the date to perform the credit check. The encrypting means is generated so process contents are random between users, and a readout prohibiting protection is applied when installing it. |
