PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a more convenient digital copy machine. SOLUTION: The digital copy machine comprises a scanner 101 having a function for detecting the width of an inserted document, a memory 102 for delivering an image signal to a plotter 105 at the time of recording and copying, and a control section 104. When electronic sort copying is performed, demagnification reading is performed at a magnification not lower than a limit demagnification even under a memory over situation and an enlarged output is produced at the original magnification, thus minimizing recopy operation at the time of memory-over processing. A unit is selected arbitrarily in setting a sheet size using a frame size when substitution is made to an arbitrary number of sheets to provide a function for setting the frame size of non-standard size document quickly and easily, use of an non-standard size document is set at the time of work, operation is controlled such that frame size setting can be used and a user can easily grasp the number of sheets causing use memory over. |
