摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a display device which prevents the thermal destruction of a panel and the image persistence of a screen occurring in display patterns with simple constitution. SOLUTION: The display device which has plural cells to selectively emit light, is determined in the display luminance by the number of times of light emission and changes the total number of times of the light emission of the respective cells in the display frame of one screen has decision sections 24 and 25 which monitor the changes in the total number of times of the light emission and decide whether the first state in which the total number of times of the light emission exceeds a prescribed reference value arises at a first frequency or above or whether the second state in which the total number of times of the light emission is below the prescribed second reference value arises at the prescribed second frequency or above and a control section 26 which controls the display device so as to decrease the total number of times of the light emission when the first state arises at the prescribed first frequency or above and to increase the total number of times of the light emission when the second state arises at the prescribed second frequency or above.
