<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement lubrication of a starting clutch used as an alternative to a torque converter by utilizing an existing lock up control circuit and to carry out control of a quantity of a lubricating oil precisely. SOLUTION: In an automatic transmission wherein a rotation from an power source can be input through an electromagnetic starting clutch and the input rotation is output after gearing, a supply means to feed the lubricating oil to the electromagnetic starting clutch and a return means to return the lubricating oil after cooling the starting clutch by lubrication to the automatic transmission are provided, wherein the supply means includes a supply quantity control means, wherein further the supply quantity control means supplies minimum quantities of the lubricating oil to the starting clutch at the time when the starting clutch is in the completely engaged state or in the disengaged state and then supplies the starting clutch with the lubricating oil in the quantities which is variable depending on the slip engagement state at the time when the starting clutch is in the slip engagement state.</p> |
