<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a color toner capable of satisfactorily dispersing a colorant, excellent in color reproducibility and transparency in OHP(overhead projector) and having satisfactory triboelectric chargeability. SOLUTION: The method for producing the color toner has a step in which one or more first resins selected from the group comprising polyester resins, vinyl copolymers, hybrid resin components each having polyester and vinyl copolymer units and mixtures of those and at least colorant particles are mixed at a temperature below the glass transition temperatures of the first resins, they are heated under further mixing and the resulting mixture is heat-melted at 90-130 deg.C and kneaded to obtain a first kneaded material; a step in which a comminuted material obtained by comminuting the first kneaded material after cooling and at least a mixture of a polyester resin and a vinyl copolymer or a hybrid resin component having polyester and vinyl copolymer units are heat-melted and kneaded to obtain a second kneaded material; a step for comminuting the second kneaded material after cooling; and a step for classifying the resulting comminuted material.</p> |
