PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform reproduction without delay. SOLUTION: When a disk 1 is mounted during standing by for reproduction, the TOC data on the disk 1 is read and the prescribed quantity at the top of each piece of respective data on the disk 1 is written into a shock-proof memory (DRAM 13). When selection is carried out in reproducing, the reading pointer of the DRAM 13 is moved to the pointer in the position at the top of the selected data and reading out is carried out. Further, the data next thereto on the disk 1 is accessed and the writing pointer of the DRAM 13 is moved to the pointer in the position at the top of the selected next data and writing is carried out.
