PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a liquid crystal display module which is small in thickness, while maintaining display quality. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display module, provided with a liquid crystal display panel, in which a liquid crystal is sealed between a pair of substrates and a polarizing plate stuck to a part of surfaces of the pair of the substrates on the sides opposite to the liquid crystal, a light guide plate which is arranged on the side of a surface of the liquid crystal display panel and guides the light incident on a side end face to the liquid crystal display panel side and a light source which faces the side end face, the liquid crystal display panel side surface of the light guide plate comprises a protruding surface and a non-protruding surface. The protruding surface is a surface protruding to the liquid crystal display panel side, which is adjacent to the side end face and supporting the substrate of the liquid crystal display panel counterposed to the light guide plate, while the non-protruding surface is set lower than the protruding surface and supports the polarizing plate placed opposite to the light guide plate.
