EXPANSION VALVE FOR USE IN REFRIGERATION CYCLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an expansion valve for refrigeration cycle in which generation of high frequency sound is prevented at the time of starting at a low cost. SOLUTION: In an expansion valve arranged such that the flow of refrigerant being jetted from a refrigerant inlet chamber 1b through a restriction channel of an orifice 1s into a refrigerant outlet chamber 1a is deflected to a substantially perpendicular direction at the outlet of the restriction channel 1s, the wall of the refrigerant outlet chamber 1a facing the outlet of the restriction channel 1s forms a channel 1c curved smoothly. Since the refrigerant is reduced in pressure through the restriction channel 1s and jetted under mixed gas-liquid state before being guided by the channel 1c curved smoothly, and a jet flow of refrigerant does not collide perpendicularly against the opposite face to expand abruptly while bubbling violently, generation of high frequency sound due to impact can be suppressed.
