摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inertia latching mechanism and actuator locking mechanism which are high in reliability, are mountable even on a magnetic disk device formed as a thin type, are large in inertia moment and are capable of lessening the generation of vibration sounds and impact sounds. SOLUTION: An inertia lever 72 of the inertia latching mechanism 7 is formed of a two-layered structure composed of a foundation central body 11 consisting of a metallic material and a polyurethane rubber-base viscoelastic material 12 covering the circumference thereof. The inertia force of the inertia lever 72 is made greater, the sure inertia latching of an actuator 22 is made possible and the reduction of the contact sounds, impact sounds and vibration sounds and the reduction of dust generation by contact with other parts are made possible by forming the inertia lever 72 of the two-layered structure composed of the foundation central body 11 consisting of the metallic material and the polyurethane rubber-base viscoelastic material 12 covering the circumference thereof.
