PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vaporization combustor for a polymer electrolyte fuel cell which does not allow for water adsorption on a combustion catalyst, and characterizes a good ignition performance with a short startup time. SOLUTION: In vaporization combustor for the polymer electrolyte fuel cell, water removal means is provided in the upstream of the combustion catalyst.
