PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical sealed type battery which prevents an inside short circuit and a burst of the battery due to a misuse of a user, and in which its safe property is made to be improved. SOLUTION: In the cylindrical sealed type battery having a cylindrical type container 1 having a neck part 6 reduced of its diameter at one end part, a spiral electrode group 5 housed in the container 1 and composed of a positive electrode 2, a separator 4, a negative electrode 3 and an electrolytic solution, an insulating plate 12a installed between the electrode group 5 and the neck part 6 so as to be abutted on an end face part of the electrode group 5, a sealing plate 8 arranged at a more outer side than that of the insulating plate 12a and having a gas drain hole 7 communicating with the electrode group 5 via the insulating plate 12a, a safety valve 11 mounted on the sealing plate 8 so as to seal the gas drain hole 7, and a reed piece 13 which is penetrated into the insulating plate 12a and whose one end part is connected with the positive electrode 2 and whose another end part to an inner face of the sealing plate 8, the insulating plate 12a is equal to or larger than an inside diameter of the neck part 6. |
