PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a semiconductor light receiving element, which is superior in response speed and light reception sensitivity, readily arrayed and integrated with other devices, and highly flexible. SOLUTION: The semiconductor light-receiving element has an insulating layer 23, a light-absorbing layer 15, and a couple of counter electrodes 17 laminated on a substrate 11 in this order. The insulating layer 17 is structured, by oxidizing a semiconductor layer containing Al and the light absorbing layer 15 is electrically insulated from the side of the substrate 11.
