PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image information communication equipment capable of informing inclusion of a blank sheet image information in a received image information by accurately specifying a transmission originator and a method for controlling the same. SOLUTION: The method for controlling the image information communication equipment comprises the steps of automatically registering a remote party identification information to be notified when a communication remote party registered with a dial registration table to transmit image information (303), collating the remote party identification information to be notified from the originator with the dial registration table at image information receiving time (309), specifying the originator telephone number, automatically calling the specified party telephone number (314) if the received image information includes blank sheet image information (308), and transmitting the image information included as a content in the effect that the blank paper image information is included in the received image information (315).
