PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transfer unit capable of transferring proper graphic data to an image processing equipment like a printer in a case that a large amount of data are transferred by another bus master in a computer system using a bus shared with another bus master. SOLUTION: This data transfer unit is characterized in that it is equipped with a line data input section, a buffer for plural line data, a means for detecting free space that detects buffers having free spaces more than a prescribed value in buffers for above described plural line data, a means for data storage that stores line data to the buffer detected by the means for detecting free space, and a means for data output that outputs line data in order of storage from a line buffer finished storing of line data.
