PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid high polymer molecule type fuel cell which demonstrates high power generation engine performance even if it runs in a state of no humidifying. SOLUTION: The solid high polymer molecule type fuel cell 1 run in a state of no humidifying, is equipped with an electrolyte film 2 which has a high polymer molecule ion exchange component, and electrodes 3, 4 which sandwich the electrolyte film 2. Both the electrodes 3, 4 have the high polymer molecule ion exchange component and two or more catalyst grains having catalyst metal on surfaces of carbon black grains. The carbon black grains have hydrophilic nature that an amount A of water adsorption under the saturation water vapor pressure of 60 deg.C is A<=150 cc/g. When a blend weight of the high polymer molecule ion exchange component is set as to Wp, and the blend weight of the carbon black grains is as to Wc, the ratio of both the blend weight Wp, We that is Wp/We, is set as 0.4<=Wp/Wc<=1.25. |
