PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence of bit errors in a light receiver, which is positioned at the final stage of a transmission path and detects a light signal per wave, and the breakage of a receiver, when the number of wavelengths stored in the input of a wavelength-multiplexed light signal fluctuates. SOLUTION: This optical transmitter has a light branching unit 104, which receives the input of a wavelength-multiplexed signal light having a plurality of light wavelengths and outputs a wave-branched signal light where the wave is branched separately for each light wavelength, a plurality of light branching units 105 which receive the input of the wave-branched signal lights and branch them severally into main signal lights and first monitor lights, and a light wave combiner 114 which receives the input of a plurality of main signal lights and couples the waves and outputs it, an optical amplifier 115 which receives the input of the wave-combined main signal light and amplifies and outputs it, a second light branching unit 116 which receives the input of the amplified main signal light and branches its one part and outputs a second monitor light, and an optical amplifier controller 400, which receives the input of a plurality of first monitor lights and the second monitor light and outputs a optical amplifier control signal to control the optical amplifier. |
