PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device which can obtain a toner image of high picture quality (high luster). SOLUTION: The fixing device equipped with a 1st fixing roll, a rotary roll which is arranged at a specific distance from the fixing roll, an endless belt which is wound around those 1st fixing roll and rotary roll and rotated, and a 2nd fixing roll which is pressed against the 1st fixing roll across the endless belt is further equipped with a control means which controls tension applied to the endless belt according to a fixation state.
