The vibration damper comprises inertia masses (22) which rotate in annular chambers (18) filled with a viscous fluid. Springs (30) are installed between the masses and the body (10) to absorb the vibrations and rotational oscillations of the body relative to the inertia masses. Viscous damping is obtained by fluid flowing in passages formed between the inertia masses and the body.
