LEAD-ACID BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lead-acid battery to stably generate a high output wherein reduction of adhesive property between a current collector and an active substance is prevented without increasing self-discharge wherein a mixed powder (mixture of metallic lead and lead oxide) is kneaded by mixing water which does not contain sulfuric acid and an active substance layer of an active substance slurry or an active substance paste is formed on a current collector surface consisting of a rolled foil of Pb-Sn alloy in the lead-acid battery aiming at realizing the high output. SOLUTION: The active substance layer is formed by the current collector consisting of the rolled foil of Pb-Sn alloy containing 0.5 to 2.5 wt.% of Sn, and by the active substance slurry or the active substance paste obtained by kneading the mixed powder with the mixing water containing lead sulfate which does not contain sulfuric acid on this current collector surface.
