PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof testing method capable of obtaining accurate and sure test results by considering the pressurization inside a device and environmental conditions actually used. SOLUTION: The waterproof testing method has a pressurization testing process for pressurizing inside of a device 1 by injecting helium gas in the device 1 to be a test body and measuring the time variation of the pressurized state, and a depressurization testing process for depressurizing inside of the device 1 by sucking the gas in the device 1 and measuring the time variation of the depressurized state. Good or bad of the waterproof function of the device 1 under the same environment conditions as operating state is judged based on the time variation in the pressurizing state and the depressurizing state.
