PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for refining coating liquid or an electrophotographic photoreceptor which can reuse waste liquid by restoring a large amount produced defective liquid to nearly the same properties of the original fresh liquid and improve the properties of coating liquid having been applied if its properties are not sufficient. SOLUTION: This device for refining the coating liquid for the electrophotographic photoreceptor has at least an adsorbent holding tank (12) which holds an adsorbent adsorbing and removing impurities in the coating liquid for the electrophotographic photoreceptor containing a charge transfer compound and has a mesh structure that the coating liquid for the electrophotographic photoreceptor passes through, and a circulating means which puts the coating liquid having passed through the adsorbent holding tank back into the adsorbent holding tank.
