PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gimbal mechanism improving target acquisition performance by enlarging an aperture of an image pickup part. SOLUTION: In this gimbal mechanism, the image pickup part 2 is rotatively operated around two axes (a Y-axis and a Z-axis). An arced motor 6 and an angle detector 7 are provided along an operation locus of the image pickup part 2 behind (in a -X side) the image pickup part 2. Rotation around the Z-axis of the image pickup part 2 is controlled by the motor 6 and the angle detector 7. |
