PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk of which the recording capacity is increased by decreasing the useless areas and also the access time to data is shortened and to provide a disk device and a data recording method of the disk. SOLUTION: This optical disk 3 is provided with a plurality of disk-like data areas 23 which are spirally arrayed around the center of the disk and where the data are recorded by irradiation of laser beams, and a plurality of pre-pit areas 33 and 35 which are arranged in the vicinity of the areas 23 so as not to be adjacent to each other in the radial direction of the disk and which identify the individual areas 23. The disk 3 also includes a plurality of build-up areas 31 which are spirally arrayed like the areas 23 in the areas following the areas 33 and 35 and irradiate the laser beams to raise the output of the laser beams.
