PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a torsional deformation that occurs when a taping process is given to a lengthy protector made of a flexible material like a resin and the like. SOLUTION: In the protector for a wire harness equipped with a gutter- shaped harness guide and a cover unit having a contacting edge that is connected to one end of the harness guide through a thin-wall hinge and contacts with the contacting edge in the longitudinal direction formed at the harness guide so as to cover the exposed face of the harness guide, a dislocation-control means for preventing a dislocation of the contact of the harness guide and the cover is mounted at the contacting edge where both the harness guide and the cover contact with each other.
