PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide exterior compact electronic equipment which can be directly adaptable to the interface slot provided in an information processor without using a cable. SOLUTION: The exterior compact electronic equipment 2 consists of an interface part 4 and a driving mechanism part 3. The interface part 4 can be mounted in the interface slot 8 provided on an information processor (personal computer 1). The driving mechanism part 3 has a mechanical driving mechanism 11 such as a disk drive, and the interface part 4 has a control circuit 19 for the part 4 and a connector 8 for connecting to a computer system.
