PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue reception even when a memory is over at the time of memory reception. SOLUTION: This facsimile equipment is provided with a memory RAM 11, a recording circuit part 6, and a control means. The control means switches memory reception to direct reception when reception data are over the storage capacity of the memory RAM 11, monitors a transmission origin identification signal included in the reception data, and switches the direct reception to the memory reception when the transmission origin identification signal of the reception data over the storage capacity is detected from the reception data by the direct reception after the switching is instructed.
