PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damper member with a yield load stabilized at a low level. SOLUTION: This damper member comprises a core 1 yielding earlier than the main structural framework of a structure. First and second steel materials 1a and 1b having large and small strain hardening capabilities, respectively, are connected in series to each other so as to form the core. The ranges of primary and secondary yielding strengths of the second steel material are set within more than the primary yielding strength of the primary steel material to less than the yielding strength of the secondary steel material.
