An apparatus and a method for performing spondylolisthesis reduction utilizing spinal link implants (90), the apparatus comprising a jack (10) which is temporarily affixed to the spinal links (90), where the jack (10) is constructed to provide leverage or fulcrum points such that the vertebrae (110) or sacrum (100) can be moved as required for proper realignment and to position adjacent link members (90) for connection. The jack (10) comprises a pair of outrigger member (30) connected to a levering member (20) such that each is free to pivot, whereby the relative angle between the members (30, 20) may be altered by movement of the levering member (20), which is provided with at least one handle (21) to be gripped by the surgeon.
