<p>The present invention relates to a video signal sampling method and apparatus with minimized portions of analog circuits. An analog to digital converter converts an input analog video signal into a digital video signal. The digital video signal is compared with a standard digital video signal by a pedestal detector and a sync tip level detector. The pedestal detector compensates offset of the signal by controlling DC level of the signal. The sync tip level detector compensates amplitude of the signal by controlling the gain. According to the present invention, an analog video signal is converted to a digital video signal with similar properties to the standard video signal.</p> |
