<p>The present invention is related to an optionally coated pharmaceutical hydrophilic gel forming matrix formulation comprising one or more active substances and having a prolonged release of said one or more active substances upon exposure to gastrointestinal fluids, characterized in that said release is substantially ion-strength independent. The invention is further related to a method of preparing this formulation which can be used in the administration of active substances for the treatment of a large number of disorders.</p> |
