PURPOSE: A system for displaying price information of articles on display using power line communication is provided to install a terminal allowed with an ID in a location of a designated product code, and to display a price conforming to the ID of the terminal through a power line modem when a common AC power is applied to the terminal, so as to easily install the terminal as well as reduce manpower necessary for product inventory management. CONSTITUTION: More than one displayed article price information displaying terminals(12,15) display price of articles on display in real time. A controller(11) has a power line communication device to receive IDs of the terminals(12,15) displaying price information and price via power line communication, and is connected to more than one terminals(12,15) to convert the price information into an electrical signal for being displayed on the terminals(12,15), then transmits the electrical signal to the terminals(12,15). A server(10) transmits predetermined price information to the controller(11). Each of the terminals(12,15) comprises as follows. A laser light source makes laser rays by combining a laser diode with a collimating lens. An optical receiver receives laser rays reflected from a retro-reflection unit for reflecting the laser rays to the same direction as incident direction of the laser rays, when products are out of stock between paths of the laser rays, and converts the laser rays into electrical signals. A stock decider has a micro processor, which analyzes the electrical signals to decide whether products are in stock between the paths of the laser rays and transmits the results to the server(10).
