The coupling bag (1) is filled with a liquid or gel and has a rotationally symmetrical shape, with the coupling surface (3), which is brought into contact with the body of the patient, extending perpendicular to the rotational axis (2) and made of a material which allows transmission of the shock waves. The remaining mantle region (4) of the coupling bag has a noise damping characteristic.
