<p>A method for manufacturing a gas diffusion electrode, characterized in that it comprises a sheet forming step of forming a sheet comprising a carbonaceous material and a catalyst layer forming step of forming a catalyst layer on the sheet by the vapor phase film forming method. The method allows the preparation of a gas diffusion electrode with ease and simplicity at a low cost, due to the employment of the above two steps, which leads to the reduction of the production cost of an electrochemical device using the gas diffusion electrode.</p> |
