The firing noise reduction device has a cone (3), or a series of cylinders with a gradually reducing diameter inserted between the rifle barrel (1) and an expansion sleeve (4), for braking a metal cylinder and a seal moving at 330m/sec to 10m/sec. An Independent claim for a shot cartridge for a rifle provided with a firing noise reduction device is also included.
