<p>PURPOSE: A communication system and a communication channel assigning method are provided to suppress a delay time to be a desired time or below so as to improve the throughput while effectively utilizing communication channels. CONSTITUTION: A reception section(202) of each of wireless terminals(10-40) receives a signal transmitted from a wireless base station(1). An SNR(Signal to Noise Ratio) measurement section(204) of each of the wireless terminals(10-40) measures the SNR of the received signal. A data quantity measurement section(206) of the wireless base station(1) measures a quantity of data stored in buffers(11-41) in the wireless base station(1). A maximum resident time measurement section(208) measures the maximum resident time of packets in the buffers(11,21,31,41). A maximum resident time dependent classification processing section(210) classifies the wireless terminals(10-40) on the basis of the maximum resident time. A slot assignment priority ranking decision processing section(212) decides the assignment sequence of time slots with respect to the wireless terminals(10-40) on the basis of the SNR of the received signal, the data quantity, the maximum resident time, and the classification result in the maximum resident time dependent classification processing section(210).</p> |
