<p>An information recording medium (101) comprising a transparent substrate (109) having a first surface (A) and a second surface (B) on the opposite side of the first surface (A), a reflectance reducing means (110) provided on the first surface (A) of the transparent substrate (109), and an information recording layer (120) provided on the second surface (B) of the substrate (109). Beams (130a, 131a, 132a), obtained after beams (130, 131, 132) shone onto the first surface (A) at incidence angles ranging from 0° to a maximum incidence angle α have passed through the substrate (109), are used to record information onto the information recording layer (120); or beams (130a, 131a, 132a), obtained after beams (130, 131, 132) shone onto the first surface (A) at incidence angles ranging from 0° to a maximum incidence angle α have passed through the substrate (109), are used to reproduce information recorded on the information recording layer (120); while the reflectance reducing means (110) reduces reflectance, on the first surface (A), of beams (131, 132) incident at a maximum incidence angle a.</p> |
